2 $64,000 questions on wine

A. I installed wine with 64-bit, i.e.
  1. Cloned the wine git
  2. Made 2 subdirs, wine-build &wine32-build
  3. made the 64 bit (using --libdir=/usr/lib64)
  4. Built the 32-bit with no libdir option & --with-wine64=../wine-buil
  5. Installed them both into the same DESTDIR
  6. Made a slackware package with makepkg
Is that kosher? One 32bit app started throwing major errors, but the rest are ok.

B. The must-have package I went to all this trouble for shipped half a linux distro with it:-/ .It has the following directories in 'bin64'
  • cygwin
  • gnu (just gzip)
  • perl
  • python
  • tcl4.0
  • tk4.0
  • tcl8.6
  • tk8.6
  • qt
  • jre64

Does such a piece of crap have ant chance of working?

Just out of curiosity, is there a specific reason not to use the packages or at least Slackbuilds provided by AlienBob?

No. Does Alien Bob do wine? Great.

It appeared to work, throwing an intelligent wine error.
