Win xp cannot open samba folders

Hi!

I have CentOS 5.4, Samba version 3.0.33-3.29.el5_7.4 version.
My client machine is WinXP Pro sp3.

My problem is that I cant go into samba shared folders (but I can see it in network places in XP) from client machine.

In my XP machine:
If I type in the windows explorer \\sambaServer\ and press enter, I can see all the shared folders, but if I double click any of the shared folders I get the message:

"\\sambaServer\sharedFolder is not accessible. You might not premission to use this network resource."

Here is my smb.conf file:

Code:
[global]
        workgroup = WORKGROUP
        netbios name = CentOS
        name resolve order = bcast host lmhosts wins
        server string = Samba Server Version %v
        security = user
        passdb backend = tdbsam

[sharedname]
        path = /realname
        available = yes
        valid users = gubak, test
        read only = yes
        browsable = yes
        public = yes
        writable = yes

[Guest Share]
        comment = Guest access share
        path = /share
        browseable = yes
        writeable = yes
        guest ok = yes
        public = yes

[www]
        comment = Public www
        path = /var/www
        create mask = 0660
        directory mask = 0771
        writable = yes
The directories /realname and /share are set to 0777 premission.

Can someone explain why cant go into this shared folders with my XP machines?

Thanks

check firewall both side client as well server, make firewall disable.

you are accessing www folder using www user right?

if is that so make some chages as below

Quote:
[www]
comment = Public www
path = /var/www
valid user = samba username
create mask = 0660
directory mask = 0771
writable = yes
save file and restart samba service

Thanks for your answer!

I have disabled firewalls on the both side (client server), but unfortunately the problem is still the same.
I have changed what you suggested me, but nothing happened!

It is so simple but not work, I cant believe it!

Did you add a samba user/password? http://linux.die.net/man/8/smbpasswd

If you are actually typing in \\sambaServer\? The netbios name from the posted smb.conf file is CentOS which should be what you see in network neighborhood. If you made any changes to smb.conf you will need to restart samba.

Yes I've add samba users exactly on that way!

\\sambaServer\ is just an example name , actually I type the ip of the samba server \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\.

Of course I restart samba after every piece of changes, and also refresh the windows explorer.

Notice in the meantime:

In the samba log file I see something like:
"api_fd_reply: INVALID PIPE HANDLE: 76ba"
