User does int getting home directory in root home in ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx


Hi
Im creating a user but i could int find the user home directory in root.i had created user rsales1 rsales2 but i could int find the user home directory in /home of root ,Can anyone help me how can i solve it .I tring to configure pub key attentication for user test but i could int find the user home directory.

Do you have files under /etc/skel? those should be copied on creating a new user. That's also presuming that the request was made for the home dir to be created, which *should* be default behaviour, but can be explicitly done using the -m option

Hi,
i just find skel file .I manually created a home folder in /rot/home/rsales1.Whether it wright one .

root@x-desktop:~# cd /etc/skel/
root@x-desktop:/etc/skel# ls
examples.desktop
root@ecare-desktop:/etc/skel#
