Can anyone share a script that I can use to install a large set of packages in Ubuntu. Typically, when i'm starting a new server I have to do "apt-get install" on a bunch of packages.
I'd like a script that I can add/remove packages from and say yes to all the dependency questions.
Easiest way would be to create a meta-package that is dependent on all packages you want to install. Information about creating packages can be found here.
This way you can create different packages that will fit different roles for your server, like file-server, web-server, ... .
