Tons of mearaid waiting and aborting errors in messages file

Was looking at the messages file on a server that hosts a few samba shares, and it is blown up with the following info. It's repeated a few times, and the abort and aborting lines are the most frequent. This is just a sample snippet where it shows all the unique type ones.

Does this mean the filesystem is bad and i need to run a fsck, or does it mean there's a hardware problem?
