SUSE 10.0 as WEB SERVER

Hi, i am a junior in linux. Several days ago i've seting up a server based on SUSE 10.0
Then i found a problem,my domain could not be open in the browser when i type the complete URL, but if i type the IP address the web servers works. I have put a simple page as the index in order to test the web server.
What is going on..??? I realy need help from anybody who has experiences in DNS server to solve my problem.

Did you tell Apache the name of the server?
server name directive in the httpd.conf file.

bind, the dns server won't help, since the domain name needs to be registered, and it's your regitrar that you used that has to point your domain name to your ip number.
