What I want to know it's how to do it ?
I've searched on the internet but I never found somw walkthrough or some step by step how to do it.

Is there anyone that has done this substituition and worked good ?

How do you people done this ?

I'm a little rookie with this .

Help,Help....

Thanks to all who can help,

Best Regards.

LMSSML,

i have used squirreloutlook before, simply install it right over your existing squirrelmail if you want. The versions i have found are ususally defaulted to brazilian portuguese, sift through the files and fix this (easy, really, just don't remember exactly how )

make sure all the paths match, squirreloutlookv1.0.3.xyz is not so easy to remember...

anyway it works and really does not look all that impressive...

seems to me the (not free) "nutsmail" looks much better.

hope that helps

Instead of patching your current mail frontend and introducing new bugs and vulnerabilities with a hackish and mostly unmaintained thing, I would look for a substitute.

Check these for a starter:

http://www.xuheki.com/
http://yawebmail.sourceforge.net/project-summary.html
http://roundcube.net/
http://www.horde.org/
http://ilohamail.org/main.php

There are many more. Nutsmail is also an option, though I doubt it's any good compared to squirrelmail, plus it's commercial. I'd look elsewhere.
