Squid Cache Dynamic-ish content

hey I've got an image server running that i want to route through a squid box. I've installed and verified everything works with static imagery on squid 3.0Stable7.

I can get TCP_200 HITS if the url is like: greenEggsAndHam.com/pic1.jpg,

but not HITs if the url is as such:

greenEggsAndHam.com/rest/images/2414124124

When i access the site above with squid, i get this in the access log:

1214501800.624 23 xxx.xx.xx.xxx TCP_MISS/200 5117 GET http://greenEggsAndHam.com/rest/images/2414124124 - FIRST_UP_PARENT/192.xx.xxx.xx image/jpeg

And if i refresh the page i get another MISS.

i tried that youtube walkthrough for dynamic content to no avail - just FYI
