space problem


hi i have a dedicated server with centos 5 and kloxo and today i found in kloxo that i have 56 gb used from my 80 gb hdd, my websites have 1 gb and i tried on putty to find the biggest files and i cannot find anything, how can i check what is eating so much ?

Hi,
Issue df -H and look which partition is consuming the space.

then issue mount, you'll see the specific device (that you think is consuming the space) with the mount point.
say the mount point is /mnt

Now issue du /mnt
or ll -a /mnt
You'll find whats consuming your space................
