SLES11 SP4 with multipath for Oracle ASM disk

Hi guys,

We are new to mutlipath configuration on Linux server. We have installed few SUSE servers with multipath disk for Oracle ASM usage. But we have a problem when one of the path goes "offline" the whole disk will down and making the Oracle services stop. Here attached with the multipath -ll output:

Code:
3600507680c80034690000000000000d2 dm-14 IBM,2145
size=250G features='1 queue_if_no_path' hwhandler='0' wp=rw
`-+- policy='service-time 0' prio=50 status=active
  |- 1:0:1:47          sdf  8:80   failed faulty offline
  |- 13:0:2:47         sdav 66:240 active ready  running
  |- 7:0:1:47          sdaa 65:160 active ready  running
  `- 19:0:3:47         sdbq 68:64  active ready  running
3600507680c80034690000000000000de dm-26 IBM,2145
size=150G features='1 queue_if_no_path' hwhandler='0' wp=rw
`-+- policy='service-time 0' prio=50 status=active
  |- 4:0:1:59          sdr  65:16  failed faulty offline
  |- 16:0:3:59         sdbh 67:176 active ready  running
  |- 10:0:1:59         sdam 66:96  active ready  running
  `- 22:0:2:59         sdcc 69:0   active ready  running
We thought that this is enough but it seems not.
Please help

You're using SuSE Enterprise with Oracle ASM....both of which are commercial, PAY FOR products. When paying for these products, you are also paying for support. Have you contacted either SuSE or Oracle for assistance? Past that, how are you testing this? How are you making one of the links 'down'???

You really need to use the support you're paying for.
