Sharing the same directory over Samba and FTP?

Using Xubuntu 14.04

Can I share the same directory and its content over Samba with local users and via FTP with remote users?

If so can I store shared directory in a /home directory of the regular user with admin rights?

This way I can access files easy when I am working directly on Xubunty and via Samba when I am on another PC in my home... also other users on the Internet are able to access the same files via FTP

Yes, you definetly can do all this stuff.

Sharing a directory from your computer via Samba withing LAN isn't a problem at all.

Sharing one via FTP over Internet would be possible if your server has a static IP-address. Otherwise you'll have to use some Dynamic DNS service.
