Thumbs up Sendmail server configure for your lan

first of u need to install all sendmail packages or rpm's.

Steps for configure sendmail server for local lan.

#vim /etc/mail/

line no.116
make it look like this

dnl # DAEMON_OPTIONS ('Port=smtp.addr=,name=MTA)dnl
i am just add "dnl #" at starting of this line.

now save and exit

#vim /etc/dovecot.conf
line no 17 remove '#' for open this line protocols = imap imaps pop3 pop3s

save and exit

#m4 /etc/mail/ > /etc/mail/

now save and exit

#vim /etc/hosts
remove all lines form it and then add these lines

youripaddress fqdn hostname
like pc1

save and exit

#service sendmail restart
#service dovecot restart

send test mail to
#mail root@fqdn of your server
