Samba help

I have posted this question in the Debian forum as well, but have not received a successful response.I have posted this question in the Debian forum as well, but have not received a successful response.

My server is running the latest version of Debian with the latest version of Samba.

What I basically want to do is have two SMB servers. One is working right now, allowing guests to connect and read the server. The second server will not allow guests, but will have write access. I am having trouble entering my username and passwords on the Windows 7 computers. Can someone help me with this?

Well probably, but you've not said anything about what's happening. What do yourcnfg files look like? what errors are you getting? Tbh, my initial thought would be that it's a windows-trying-to-be-too-clever issue if that's all we have to go on.
