samba and nfs

hi everyone, i am having serious issues with my nfs mount. my NIS server mounts its home directory from a NAS cluster which is the NFS server we run. on tuesday i updated something on the NAS cluster where our samba service is running and restarted the service. since then i have not been able to have the NIS server mount any directory from the NFS server. when i rebooted the NIS server , it just hangs in mountint NFS filesystem , i dont know where the issue is but my guess is something is wrong with the cluster.

pls i need help!!!!.

You surely have to give more information.
-platforms?
-configs
-what you modified (which caused the trouble)
-are nfs and samba provided by the same cluster? if so is nfs all ok (can other clients mount an nfs exported filesystem)
