Rsync Server Data to Another Server

I am moving my email server from RHEL 4.6 to RHEL 5.1 and have tarballed everything via ssh to the new RHEL 5.1 server in regards to users home directories. Now as files and things change on the production server (RHEL 4.6), I would like to keep the two servers syncornized but am worried my command will have bad results. I know when using Rsync it is dangerous to use the --delete-after string but I need files that are no longer on the production to be removed from the new server since my last tar.

Can someone please tell me if I am doing this wrong?

I will be running this command from the production server (RHEL 4.6):

Code:
/usr/bin/rsync -ave ssh --delete-after /home/ root@192.168.0.100:/home/

It looks fine to me. You could test it by just running a single user (you could even create one for the test so as not to use a real one) with:

Code:
/usr/bin/rsync -ave ssh --delete-after /home/fakeuser/ root@192.168.0.100:/home/fakeuser/
HTH
