[SOLVED] rsh connection refused when executing a command

Hi

I am trying to setup rsh to work from Redhat 7.3 to RHEL5. I can use "rlogin new" and "rsh new" to login to the RHEL5 system, but when I try "rsh new ls", or any other command, it hangs for quite a while, the says "Connection refused". I have setup other systems using rsh/rlogin that work fine. Even a Redhat 6.2 to RHEL5. Is it possible I forgot something from the last time I set it up? I don't recall having a problem with rsh working for login, but not for commands.

Any differences in the PAM settings for rsh?

No, the pam rsh files on the system that works is the same as the one on the one that doesn't work. Both are RHEL5, with the latest updates from Redhat.

Turns out rsh wasn't running on the RHEL5 system, guess rsh uses rlogind if no command is specified.
