RHEL 6 vs Samba vs LDAP

Hello,

I have been running in circles trying to resolve this issue.

I have a server with samba shares and would like to configure samba to auth against our companies ldap ....

I don't know what I need to configure and with what ....

I have received my ldap setting and I have config'd smb.conf. nsswitch.conf ... authconfig-tui

but still nothing ... and when I search anywhere on the net it just takes my all over the place.

Any guidance on this is very appreciated : )

Just saying "but still nothing", doesn't give us alot to work with. And putting "linux samba ldap authentication" into Google pulls up lots...most of which have instructions and how-to guides. Did you look, or try to follow any of them? There are even several on this very site:
