I am trying to install RHEL 6.1 using kickstart but getting the below error.
####################
There was an error configuring your NIC
####################
The interesting part is if i install on VMware VM then there is no issues.I tried to install the same on multiple Hardware but the issue is still persists.
How are we possibly supposed to help with just that?? you could at least show us your kickstart file. if you hit Alt + F2 / f3 / f4 you can see more output there as well.
you're not getting a DHCP lease. Now you told us you're using cobbler, you should ensure the MAC is correct for that system in the cobbler profile assuming you are using ISC DHCP managed by cobbler to handle DHCP.
I checked MAC is correct. When i boot the machine It uncompresses initrd & vmlinuz After that tried to configure eth0 then stuck.I suspect its a NIC driver issues.
Interesting part is if i am install the same on VM its working fine.
i don't really see why it's interesting that it works as a VM, but anyway, look at the logs in more detail, flip to the terminal screen run some commands to help you debug it, e.g. "ifconfig -a" to see that the interface exists. also I would check the dhcp server and see if it is requesting a lease, maybe there is a firewall rule blocking access.
