redirection
Is redirection a useful and efficient tool, or a bad idea, in the following set up?
A web site hosted in "colocation" produces forms which are sent to a colocated machine which redirects the forms to one of a number of servers also in colocation.
The idea is to have 2 servers colocated in different geographical area and "rsync"ed. If server 1 can be "ping"ed, then the forms are sent to server 1 else the forms are sent to server 2.
Or is there a better solution?
Any tip or advice most welcome.
