I have a virtual private server running CentOS5 with Parallels Small Business Panel. I just got back from a one month vacation to find that, not only was I not able to FTP into my server, but to also see that FTP was not listed as a service (though not sure if it ever was). What's weird is that I found the configuration files: proftpd.conf and proftpd.include. I also found a gzipped archive called proftpd.8.gz in /usr/share/man/man8/.

I have tried to reinstall ProFTP using yum install proftpd, but there is apparently no such package. I then ran yum install psa-proftpd and it installed, but did nothing.

I still have SSH access, so I can post any logs needed if they exist on my server.

PLEASE help.
