hi. there is qmail server running in the secondary office and it was working fine. yesterday qmail suffered some problem.i came to know about the problem today.now after troubleshooting and looking into the server, the qmailclt stat commands shows that all services are working and there is nothing going crazy in the server. The maillog is showing errors which i am pasting here for the convienance. i hope that somebody will get to the problem and suggest some solution.

i just added city inplace of the real name of the city in the log file.
so anyone its really urgent

qmail is a major pain. In Bernstein's (original)qmail, mail is directed to qmail-queue and smtp virus checking is then messy. Trust me, I tried.

A solution was the $QMAILQUEUE variable to replace the hard coding to qmail-queue. This patch was never mainstreamed. I ran away from qmail ready to scream 10 years back. Many patches have been added, and documented, but chances are if you have qmail-1.03 it's the Bernstein version with some unknown patches, if it's 1.05 it's netqmail (qmail with sane patches)

1. $QMAILQUEUE is set to your spam filter.
2. Qmail sends the message to $QMAILQUEUE
3. $QMAILQUEUE is then set to qmail-queue
4. Your spam filter finishes it's thing and throws the message back at qmail
5. Qmail again sends the message to $QMAILQUEUE
6. This time it goes as directed by your ~/.qmail file.
