Exclamation problem configure vsftpd in fedora 11?

Hi,
I installed the vsftpd and started ok in fedora 11 for my local ftp server, but still ftp
client cannot connect to the ftp server, may be i have problem with vsftpd.conf, i am
confused about user_list.
In my vsftpd.conf is:
userlist_enable=YES
what it means? the ftp connections of users from the user_list will be accepted or
denied? thanks for your help.

userlist_enable — When enabled, the users listed in the file specified by the userlist_file directive are denied access. Because access is denied before the client is asked for a password, users are prevented from submitting unencrypted passwords over the network.

ftp connection problem with vsftpd server?

Thanks for the reply, the vsftpd server started ok, and i add the ports 21 and 20 to the shorewall firewall rules to accept the connections from the net to the firewall, but still ftp client cannot connect to vsftpd server:

[user]$ lftp -u userasswd ftp://example.com
lftp user@example.com:~> ls
`ls' at 0 [Delaying before reconnect: 43]

I check the /var/log but there is no any vsftpd.log, this is my vsftpd.conf:

vsftpd.conf

Thanks for your help in advanced.

Does it work when you connect from the internal network?
