Postfix+Vpopmail

i visited inter7.com for download vpopmail.and i think it can work with postfix.

but when i run ./configure it gives error below:

checking whether we can locate the qmail directory... no
configure: error: Unable to find your qmaildir directory, specify --enable-qmaildir.

i did not find any documents about it.

Thanks

Well vpopmail does say it requires qmail, but I suspect that it may be possible with Postfix. How are you storing incoming mail, mbox or maildir? I think it needs to be maildir to work.

A quick read of what I googled shows that you do need qmail for vpopmail. There are some work arounds, but you still have to tell Posfix to use qmail for transport.

but inter7.com says it can work with postfix:

Vpopmail: Handling virtual domains is a common issue posed by new users in the qmail and postfix communities. Inter7 has developed vpopmail (vchkpw - buipopmeil), a free GPL software package, to provide an easy way to manage virtual email domains and non /etc/passwd email accounts on your qmail or Postfix mail servers.
