Postfix Issue


I can't get the Postfix service on my machine to start, I'm not sure why the service is failing. Here are my mail error log's.

Probably a resolver and not a security issue.
See if your /etc/host.conf contains your localhost name and IP address pair.
Else post exact info (remove duplicate lines) running Postfix in its most verbose mode (multiple "-v" flags).

My host.conf doesn't contain my hostname or IP address and I'm not sure how I would add them in. This is what's in my host.conf.

order hosts,bind
multi on
Postfix completely fails on start; I can't run it with verbose flags. Hopefully it isn't a security issue as I just installed it, and chkrootkit doesn't find anything.

Uh. I meant to say /etc/hosts, not /etc/host.conf.
