Possible to use Ansible, Puppet etc on Cpanel/WHM servers?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have used the search function and not returned what I was looking for.

I manage several CentOS servers that use Cpanel/WHM or Plesk. I want to know if its possible to use config management tools such as Ansible or Puppet so I can make changes and updates to all machines at once.

I did some Googling for this and all I found were some playbooks for setting up brand new servers with cpanel using Anasible which is not what I want to do.

Obvs. I need to be cautious here as I dont want to break anything if I go ahead with one of these tools.

thanks

(I should add that I did ask this question on the cpanel forums and got a pretty vague answer from the mods)

that's probably because your OP is a little vague; you should tell us more about your setup.
i also don't see what cPanel has to do with ansible, but i'm not an expert on any of the softwares you mention.

isn't ansible deployed to bootstrap environments? is it possible to apply it to already existing setups?

you probably also shouldn't dismiss whatever answer you got on cpanle forums; care to share?

If I understood well, for me, Cpanel did not manage a container or a virtual machine. You don't really have a system. It manage services for webhosting to let you use those services. And that was it.

But it seems to be posible to connect with ssh, have a shell and run yum.

So, if you can do :
Code:
yum install ansible
That would mean you can.
