Hello, My first post here.
I need to do some high level performance testing on some Linux VM and can't seem to find anything that fits. I have looked at VMWare's offering but it costs way too much and testing is far too detailed for the time I have available.
Here is what I need to do;
I have 1 server that will host 3 or 4 guests on top of the host. The guests will be a mix of Windows 2003 and CentOS5. The Host will be one each of W2k08 Hyper-V, RHEL5 Xen and KVM, Citrix Xen and VMWare hosting the privious listed guests.
Test output;
I would like to be some data on disk IO, Network IO, CPU and Memory usage.
I am just really starting on looking (only a day or so of hard searches). I would love it to find something I can test against the Host that will mimic the VMs loaded but if I can find a package or two that I have to run on the individual VMs I can go that way.
