Parse Log files


Hi
I need to one program to parse log files and report via mail.
Is Logwatch still being used ?? Or there is another replacement for logwatch??

Thanks for any help or guidance

Logwatch should be available for just about any distro.

If you know what you're looking for, you could probably also write a quick'n'dirty "perl" script and set it up as a cron job.

The source code for this log parser can possibly get you started in writing your own log parser - http://www.biterscripting.com/SS_WebLogParser.html . It is in biterscripting.
