We would like to look out alternatives for open web mail for out new servers and would like to see if you can help us.We are only looking at free ware that is available in the market to install it in our Linux server.

Your help would be much appreciated.

I take it you are looking for a web based gui to interact with postfix or something of that nature? Have you looked at squirrelmail?

Horde and Squirrel are the only two I have good experience with. Liked them both, prefer Squirrel mail. So there's my 2 cents

One of my co-workers was looking over my shoulder and suggested that you take a look at http://tdah.us/

With Horde I ran into more stability issues, SquirrelMail infront of qmail was pretty much hands-off. Didnt have to do any regular maintenance and didnt run into many problems during install or upgrade either.

I think the Horde issues were related to its integration with the Plesk control panel in the environment we were running under. Can't confirm that but that was my hunch. Had to restart services and the like from time to time.
