Hi unSpawn,

Thanks alot for your patience you taught me as like school teacher!! like spoon feeding but

i know spoon feeding is not help all the time search and understand is the best thing, now

the problem will solved,Actually the problem is we dont have any testing server and all to

first test and implement those things, we have to try and implement in the server

itself..its the main drawback here,

First 2 things i kept in mind to do ASAP,

1. create one testing environment to check and implement,

2. switch to (production server) My fedora 8 server to centos 5.6

Hi all,

I cannot seem to pull secondary domains from my master DNS. I am getting this error in my

secondary server log file.

"refresh: unexpected rcode (NXDOMAIN) from master ..."
Does someone know what this error means and how

to fix it? But if new zone added in master means that zone files will updated in secondary

dns, but in already existing zone file if we did any changes means , that update not comes in

secondary server.

Hi all,

Still the problem continues...dont know why it will take this much time to resolve this problem

i think mainly lack of knowledge in bind,,:-( :-(.

now the problem is i am to able to upadate the Primary zone to secondary zone..

in log messages again it shows

Quote:
zone serial unchanged. zone may fail to transfer to slaves.
What Serial i need to change...there are nearly 1000 zone files in my

/var/named/chroot/var/named/zones/clients Directory for all files i need to change??

In my secondary log

It shows

refresh: could not set file modification time of 'slaves/db.anish.com': permission denied

Even i changed the Permission to named but still the problem..continues
