I do not really know much about Name Servers, but can I have the name servers on the same dedicated server as my web/ftp/etc server, or should I leave them as the default go daddy name servers?
Let's try this the other way around: what happens with DNS when your "dedicated web/ftp/etc server" goes nuts? Or: what would be a compelling reason to provide DNS services yourself when you already pay others to take care of it? If that's two times "no" or "don't know", wouldn't it be so much better in terms of money, maintenance and mental stability to leave it there?
