munin requires perl(RRDs)

Hello,

I'm in RHEL6.3 and I'm installing munin from epel http://download.fedoraproject.org/pu...6-8.noarch.rpm I already solved all dependencies except this one :

Error: Package: perl-Log-Log4perl-1.30-1.el6.noarch (epel)
Requires: perl(RRDs)
Error: Package: munin-2.0.21-1.el6.noarch (epel)
Requires: perl(RRDs)

I tried to install rrdtool-perl.rpm but requiring rrdtool which is already installed :
$ rpm -ivh rrdtool-perl-1.3.8-9.1.x86_64.rpm
warning: rrdtool-perl-1.3.8-9.1.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 4dc87421: NOKEY
error: Failed dependencies:
rrdtool = 1.3.8-9.1 is needed by rrdtool-perl-1.3.8-9.1.x86_64

Name : rrdtool
Arch : x86_64
Version : 1.3.8
Release : 6.el6
Size : 699 k
Repo : installed

Please help...
thanks,

thanks,
Read the man pages on the RPM command...pay particular attention to the "--nodeps" flag, and try the installation again.

That said, this module is available for RHEL 6.3...if you're not PAYING FOR RHEL, then you really should NOT be using it, for just such reasons. Mixing packages from Fedora is a BAD IDEA, and all you're going to wind up with is an insecure, unstable system. If you NEED a 'server class' distro like RHEL, then load CentOS instead. Otherwise, why not just load Fedora????

Ok, yes we're in a company and we're paying for RHEL but I followed this tutorial http://tecadmin.net/installing-munin...hel-and-fedora, so that's the reason I used ferora epel.

Could you suggest some tuto for munin only for RHEL/CentOS?

Thanks,

If you're paying for RHEL, you need to call Red Hat support, and use the packages you're paying for.

Can you not look up tutorials on your own? Just putting "how to install munin on redhat" into Google pulls up:
http://munin-monitoring.org/wiki/MuninInstallationLinux
http://www.larmeir.com/2012/01/how-t...-enterprise-6/

...as the FIRST TWO HITS. But again, if you're paying for RHEL, you can call them and THEY can give you help. No need to look much further than that.
