mouse not working in Fedora 24

Hello Group,

I had to install FC24 over my FC20 installation formating the partitions so there's not traces of the old OS.

After strugling weeks and scratching my head until I almost lost all hairs, I come to you with this question.

How come my USB mouse is not woring in the console anymore ??!!??

Not using the mouse top copy&paste in the console drive me NUTS !

So I have to use another computer, ssh to the server and then use the other computer's mouse... What a pain.

lsusb show:

Bus 002 Device 005: ID 413c:2107 Dell Computer Corp.
Bus 002 Device 107: ID 0461:4e22 Primax Electronics, Ltd
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 051d:0002 American Power Conversion
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation

where device 107 is my mouse.
gmp is installed as per rpm -q gmp...

Any other ideas ??

thanks !

gpm, tho installed, might not be running. https://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/howto...operation.html
Check with ps
Is the little white block character, which follows the mouse, there?
