Minimum file size to report a size in vsftpd log

I get a lot of small text files FTP'd to me, and looking through my vsftpd.log file, most of them say the size is zero. Is that just because there's a minimum size it must be to report the size in the log file, or is that in bytes and it means i'm really getting blank files?

I believe someone is abusing your ftp server and uploading those files using the anonymous account. You might want to disable that and allow only authenticated users to login
