I am in the process of replacing a RHEL4 email server custom built by a previous admin to a new installation of RHEL4 however there is a huge mailman group mailing list for several depts. and I was wondering if anyone has ever done a migration from one server to another? I would assume that there is a database associated with the application that would need to be backup however I am not very familiar.
To my knowledge mailman does not use a database. It should almost be a direct copy from one server to the next. Just make sure any dependencies, permissions and configurations are all kept the same, etc.

Thanks - I was searching their manual and asked on their mailing list as well however I have the worst luck getting any response on any mailing list so I will look for the config page.
