First of all, what do you mean by mail, are you talking about a email client to access your emails on an email server, or our you talking about an email server itself. If you are talking about a server then we need to know what MTA you want to use, eg. sendmail, qmail etc. What sort of email accounts do you need POP3, IMAP.

Do you have a registered domain name with a domain registrar, without a full y qualified domain name, you want be able to send or receive mail. You have asked a rather vague questions that is not easy to answer, if you can give some more information on what you are trying to achieve, it will be easier for someone to help.

Thanks,

I want to use sendmail + IMAP
and if i put the command as
df -h | mail "kumars.nitin123@gmail.com"
then kumars.nitin123@gmail.com should receive mail from root@computer.mydomain.com

But, I find the following logs in maillog:
Nov 5 11:07:12 computer sm-msp-queue[4178]: nA5G7AF5004178: to=postmaster, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pr

]

I have my domain registered and need configuration on my computer only.
