Lost Admin Password

Hi

Is there anyone know how to retrieve/restore samba admin password ? This morning tried to login but cant due to wrong password.

What is the distro , you are using? There is no samba admin user . If you have a samba user with the name admin, you can change the password by logging to the server as root.

Say , your samba admin name as sambaadmin

Code:

smbpasswd -a sambaadmin

This will add the user sambaadmin(if not already exists) and prompt you for password.
