I have been asked to see if we can get a list server up for to mail our customers. We currently run an exchange mail server, but from what I read, it doesnt handle mailing lists all that great.
Are there mailing list servers that work with exchange?? Or does this even matter?? I looked up majordomo, but it doesnt seem to have a major release in a while. I was also looking into Mailman.
What we need is to be able for our customers to click on our website, and sign up for mailings, without admin intervention.
These lists will also be handled by non technical managers. Does any have a web front that they can easily navigate??
Can't really answer from an administration point of view. However, I wanted to note of the 4 technical mail lists from different groups to which I subscribe 3 are using Mailman. The 4th uses Majordomo but really doesn't have much traffic since it was supplanted by a vendor's online forums so I'm guessing the folks that host it just never bothered to upgrade.
