linux as a proxy

Hi all
I am making internet network at home and I want to make my linux os to be like a broxy.
may be the broxy is no the suitable word but that what I need
I have a machine installed on it Debian Lenny.
I will get 2 LAN cards and connect one to the router and the other to the switch so it will distribute my internet

Quote:
Internet----router----Machine installed on it Debian----------Home Network
I want my Debian to :
1-filter the trafic so it blocks some sites(adult,rapidshare,.......)
2-disable some programs(torrents,emule,.)
3-ask for password to login to the internet
4-mac filtering
5-Bandwidth limitation

but I don't know how to do so,plz if any body have an idea or he did that before plz share his info?
thanks in advance
