LDAP Connection problem

Hello,

I just setup ldap on my fedora 8 server. I would like to use php to validate users using ldap for our intranet.

I have webmin installed and I manage everything from there... When I go to the ldap server module and then click to browse the database I get the following error:

Failed to login to LDAP server 127.0.0.1 as cn=xxxx,dc=xxxxxxx,dc=com : unauthenticated bind (DN with no password) disallowed

does anyone know what would cause this problem? Please help!

Thanks.

Is LDAP running on the same server you have Webmin on? It's trying to log in to 127.0.0.1. Is the user context correct? Have you tried configuring Webmin to use the IP address of your server, rather than the loopback address?
