We can 'guide you' to contact RedHat or Oracle support, since you're paying for it with your RHEL subscription.

You can also look on here for many, MANY threads that answer this same question. You say 'backup', which is vague. Do you mean you want to create a total recovery image, suitable for rebuilding a dead server? Backup data files only? Database only? What do you want to back up TO?? Bacula, Zmanda, mondoarchive, mkcdrec, and even just tar can do pieces/parts of what you ask. Since you're paying for support, I'd suggest you use it, and call either RedHat or Oracle.

Oracle is proprietary, costs money, and provides support -- see http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/Oracle_da...d_Recovery_FAQ, and/or call for support.

Redhat Enterprise also costs money and provides support. See http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Re...r-rhlspec.html and/or call for support.

On the other hand, you should be able to find lots of stuff on these forums and on the web for backing up Linux that is applicable to Redhat as well. There are variations depending on whether you want disk image backup and recovery, data backup, or backup management of multiple machines. To see some of the variety, check out http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...e-year-855941/.

After you have looked at some of that, if you can state your questions in much more specific terms, you are more likely to get specific, useful answers. See http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Ask_a_Question.
