How to set-up ffproxy with iptables

I have installed ffproxy and added my local ip address to access.ip. However any attempts to access websites via the proxy have failed.

I have changed my firewall rules so that it allows connections on the ffproxy port but this has not helped. I feel that I need to also configure the firewall to allow outgoing connections also.

Can anyone give me suggestions on what they think may be the issue?

Thanks.
