How to implement transparent proxy in squid 3.1

The scenario is as follows:- a squid server 3.1 with dns masq is installed on centos 6.2. There are almost 130 to 150 users. It is utmost requirement in this scenario to use transparent proxy. We have to block facebook with http and https and needs to use outlook for the mail server and also allow gmail, hotmail, yahoo for http and https. By using normal proxy settings in the browser, the outlook is not working. The reason for not working i think that we need to add a rule in the iptables script but the reason can be a different one. I need guidance on that. But when transparent proxy is applied i mean that when squid is used after applying iptables script, the outlook works but problem comes in facebook. It doesn't block https traffic of facebook. The facebook is basically blocked from access restrications from squid configurations in the non transparent scenario. anybody can put some light on that. My explanation is not clear but please try to understand and guide me
