How to enable "yum grouplist" ?


Hi,

I have local repository in one of the server and I have been using it. Now I have tried command "yum grouplist" to check and then install the group. But I am gettingh the below error message. how to fix this problem? Please help me.

Code:
[root@linuxtest02 ~]# yum grouplist
Loaded plugins: security
Setting up Group Process
Error: No group data available for configured repositories
[root@linuxtest02 ~]#

Fixed it!!

we must get comps.xml file from the original repository and copy it to the repository rpms directory. Then run the createrepo command with -g (group) option.

eg:cd /repodir (wherever repodata directory is present)
createrepo -g rpms/comps.xml .

then run the command yum clean all and check the yum grouplist.
It will work!!
