How do I allow ftp uploads via windows explorer?

Hi, I have a vsftp server that I can get to from anywhere via a client like FileZilla. But when trying to upload via Explorer from inside my network, it said permissions wouldn't allow me. I turned off anonymous in the conf file (anonymous_enable=NO) and was then prompted for a password in Explorer (great!). Except it won't take the login info (root and root password). still says denied. Ask away, as I'm sure I will get questions before I get help :P

Have you tried with another user? If it is a vsftp it shouldn't allow root conections, just as ssh by default doesn't allow root logins.
