Help Setting Up A Debian File Server?

I've never set up a server before. I also wouldn't call myself an expert with linux by any means either. But I would like to set up a debian file server for my house. I'm really not too sure on how to go about too much of it. First off, is there a specific "version" or something to download specifically for servers? If not, how can I set up a regular debian installation to be used as a server? Thanks in advance!

Just install it. Don't select "Desktop" during the installer.. or do, it doesn't matter, everything can do everything.
