Hardware inventory software

Hi all. Looking for a viable solution, web-based or not, that would allow me to take inventory of equipment on a LAN. Everything from the network devices down to the workstations. Looking for the most efficient/stable solution for those of you that might have experience with this sort of thing. Thanks ahead of time.

Hi,

I've used OpenAudIT for that some time ago and it was very satisfactory. Check it out to see if it fits your needs. Other candidates might be:
OCS Inventory NG
OpenNMS

Hi,

You're welcome! Also, if you have a Windows computer in your network you could use Spiceworks. I've used it at a previous job about three years ago and it's pretty complete.
