Are you sure, you should be logging in as Domain\DomainUser not just DomainUser?

I have a Centos box joined to the domain via Windows and I have never logged in as Domain\DomainUser.

Also It looks like you have no HOMEDIR for the user you are logging in as:

Code:
May 9 10:52:55 mylnx01 gnome-session[2742]: WARNING: GsmSessionSave: Failed to create directory /home/DOMAIN/test02/.config/gnome-session/saved-session: Permission denied
You will need to setup a pam rule like pam_mkhomedir.so to make a directory upon login too.

Gnome Desktop not created successfully when log in as DOMAIN\user

Well, I did follow the following link and worked like a charm but not what i want, I want the Computer to be added into a specific OU.
Bind CentOS 6.3 to Active Directory Domain - YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-vWAaocRU0
So, with my second VM, VM2 i want to replicate what happened on the YouTube video but through command line. I made sure i got all the settings from smb.conf, krb5.conf, nsswitch.conf, pam.d/system-auth etc, etc... I did create the directory DOMAIN but still not successful. If you check the YouTube video, the log in is as DOMAIN\domainuser.

Also, on my VM1 that I created by following the video, I do log in as domain\DomainUser.

See attached screenshots.

In the working VM1 I do see the following on secure log
May 10 19:30:44 mylnx00 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:auth): getting password (0x00000010)
May 10 19:30:44 mylnx00 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:auth): pam_get_item returned a password
May 10 19:30:44 mylnx00 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:auth): user 'domain\test02' granted access
May 10 19:30:44 mtlnx00 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:account): user 'DOMAIN\test02' granted access
May 10 19:30:45 mylnx00 pam: gdm-password: pam_unix(gdm-password:session): session opened for user DOMAIN\test02 by (uid=0)

In the faulty VM2 I do see the following on secure log, faulty because the desktop or gnome session is screwy after you log in as DOMAIN\test02 or test02
May 10 19:28:24 mylnx01 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:auth): getting password (0x00000010)
May 10 19:28:24 mylnx01 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:auth): pam_get_item returned a password
May 10 19:28:24 mylnx01 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:auth): user 'test02' granted access
May 10 19:28:24 mylnx01 pam: gdm-password: pam_winbind(gdm-password:account): user 'test02' granted access
May 10 19:28:24 mylnx01 pam: gdm-password: pam_unix(gdm-password:session): session opened for user test02 by (uid=0)

I would really appreciate your help, thanks.
