GLIBC Error when attempting installation of software

While installing Progress 9.1D in Ubuntu 7.1 I receive the following error: Relocation error: /cdrom/_ovrly: symbol errno, version Glibc_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

How do I resolve this problem?

I do have the same problem but my linux is RHEL 5.2 how can i solve it ?
