Fetchmail

Hello all,

I have many accounts at the same server.

I write to fetchmail :

poll server
proto pop3
auth password
user "user"
pass "pass*"
is user
fetchall

user "user1"
pass "pass*"
is user1
fetchall

So that i do not poll twice at the same server.
I get a warning : Warning: multiple mentions of host xxx in config file, but it seems to work fine.

Any advises pls?

Thank you

I still facing problems with fetchmail.
It delays a lot to deliver my mail.
For my outgoing mail i use external mailserver.

Despite there are incoming mesages fetchmail doesn;t fetches these but says 0 messages.

From maillog i get :

relay=local, delay=0.01, delays=0/0/0/0.01, dsn=5.1.1, status=bounced (unknown user: "multi")
AND
New Batch: Scanning 1 messages, 24980 bytes

Despite this no mail to my mailbox, either to hold or quarantee

Any help pls???

Could you please post your complete fetchmailrc as you use it (preferably in BB code) and not reformat lines?

1) As far as I know fetchmail does not send mail, it only receives it.
2) The error message you see in your maillog says that there is no user "multi". That means that in the To: CC: or BCC: of that message it says multi, which is not a valid address.

Thank you all for the replies.

My fetchmail is really simple :

set daemon 900
set syslog

poll xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
proto pop3
auth password
port 110
user "user"
pass "pass*"
is user
nokeep
fetchall
no ssl

user "user2"
pass "pass*"
is user2
nokeep
fetchall
no ssl

etc..

Multi is the user that i use to fetch all mails, surely there is no this user to cc or bc.
The one i think that is happening is that mail bounced and that's why i get this error message.

Any help is really appreciated

Thank you

See the bouncemail and postmaster options?
