[SOLVED] fake cups errors clogging que Scientific Linux 6

Ok guys here is the deal....I have a HP_LaserJet_M1536dnf_MFP running on USB with cups 1.4.2 & hplip 3.12.6 on scientific linux 6.

the wierd thing is I get this message "/usr/lib/cups/filter/hpcups failed" but it prints just fine until it gets to 500 jobs that it thinks didnt print and then it stops allowing new jobs.

....any thoughts out there?

go to the localhost configure page
http://localhost:631/
and look at
administration / view error log
http://localhost:631/admin/log/error_log

reset the printer up using the cups web interface
and see what happens , i find that this has the least problems

the different OS DE gui's ( default SL6 is gnome2 ) are a pain to use and almost worthless

Thanks John,
Unfortunately setting the printer up manually didnt help (it was using the "automatically setup by cups" before)

boy I feel dumb......I assumed that since it was printing that the plugin was installed properly.....I had to install the qt dependencies manually (I was using a newer hplip downloaded from the hplip website).
